#Update from My Parents' Basement
Starting today, we are slowly inviting everyone back to enjoy our basement. This is a tough decision and one we do not take lightly. We have put into place every precaution the CDC recommends so you can a safe dining experience with us again. As of 12 o’clock today, we are opening back the comic book store, and starting at 4, offering limited seating on our patio only Wednesdays through Saturday. Some of the rules and guidelines, no more than 5 people in the store at one time, and anyone inside the building HAS to have a mask on at all times. Hand Sanitizer stations will be located all around the store. You can still call to pick up your pull list and do curbside pick-up as well.
We have spent the past few weeks figuring out how to safely run service. We have reduced our seating capacity by at least 2/3rds on our patio so tables are all safely 6 feet apart, and will be first come first served, no reservations as of this time. No large parties, we have limited seating for mostly 4 tops and just two tables for parties of 6, and please do not move any of the tables. Ordering will be more of a counter style service, we have an outside area where you can walk up and place your order and when your food is ready, you’ll come back to the table to pick it up. Togo silverware and condiments will all be available in the same place as well. No inside seating or bar seating for the foreseeable future, and you must have a mask on if you enter the building to use the restrooms.
Of course, we will still be doing curbside to-go orders and delivery if you are not comfortable with venturing out just yet. This is all new for you and us, so please be patient with us, respect all of our rules and please stay home if you are feeling ill. We want to be here for the community but we also want to keep all of our staff and guests as safe as possible.
